In other words, if my adult daughter (who has a poor driving history) gets in an accident--I COULD BE SUED.....EVEN if she has her own car, and her own insurance. CAN THIS BE TRUE???? I called one two weeks ago & he was going to email me different quotes. He never bothered to, and so I called him & asked where they were. He said he forgot. I not only called the broker like she said I could if there was a problem, but I also emailed her about the problem. She didn't return my phone call, and as of yet has answered my email. HOWEVER, an older coworker of mine told me that her children were able to stay on the family health insurance until age 27 even though the kids' work offered insurance because the cost of the insurance at the child's job was over $25 per week. The cheapest policy at my job will cost me just over $30 per week. Unfortunately, I have not found any trace of this $25 rule anywhere online. Is this a true policy? If insurance isn't offered cheaply enough, can I stay on my parent's policy? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Why am I having so much trouble finding Health Insurance?

I am 51, just retired from 25 year career, have a 17 yr old son, I am taking a year off before I get back to the grind. I thought it would be fairly simple to buy a private health insurance for my son & I - we're healthy people. We get a quote, move on a little, then find out they want 100 to 150 dollars more a month than the original quote. This is honestly one of the hardest things I have ever done. I am a first year student a University, in full time education and I am planning to drop out of University within a month or so.
